Temporary Resident Visa (Visitor Visa)

A Visitor Visa, also referred to as a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV), grants individuals
permission to enter Canada for purposes such as tourism, visiting family or friends, attending
business meetings, or enrolling in short-term courses or programs.

Below is an overview of the application process and key requirements:

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Reason for Visit:

Applicants must provide evidence of a legitimate temporary stay in Canada for tourism, family visits, business engagements, or participation in short-term educational programs.

Strong Ties to Home Country:

To ensure their intent to return, applicants must demonstrate strong connections to their home country, including family, employment, property ownership, or financial assets.

Financial Sufficiency:

Applicants must prove they have adequate financial resources to support themselves during their stay, covering accommodation, transportation, and daily expenses. Alternatively, they may have a Canadian sponsor who will assume financial responsibility.

Admissibility:

Applicants must meet Canada’s admissibility requirements, ensuring they do not pose a security risk, have a criminal history, or suffer from medical conditions that could impact public health and safety.

Compliance with Visa Regulations:

Applicants must agree to follow the conditions of the visa, including adhering to the approved duration of stay and leaving Canada before the visa expires.
